Get a share of a fully controlled remote scope in Spain from £50 per month

Three-month commitment. No upfront capital cost. Everything included.

The Deal.
First Light Optics (Flo) are offering a fully supported Remote Imaging set-up for around £500 a month with no capital cost. This includes the ability to directly access the system from your home PC and transfer data. If we share this between 10 people that would work out at £50 a person for approximately 3 imaging nights a month with weather risk. At present we have six people interested, we need four more.

Who is this aimed at?

If you are an experienced imager this is an affordable way to escape the curse of the UK climate and any local obstacles you may have for an affordable price.

If you want to get into imaging but are put off by the high price of equipment, this would be a good way of trying the hobby from the comfort of your own PC. All the kit & software is set up for you and training will be given.

The Site:
The remote observatory is in Andalucia. Over 5 km from the nearest village which provides wonderful dark skies with very little light pollution. It gets 200+ clear nights a year. Even in the height of summer the site still enjoys 5-6 hours of Astro Darkness.

The Equipment:
• StellaLyra 8″ f/8 M-LRS Ritchey-Chrétien Telescope (likely Carbon Fibre) 1600mm focal length with improved focuser.
• ZWO 2600 Mono camera (APS-C) with 7x36mm electronic filter wheel fitted with Antlia 36mm LRGB and 3nm ultra-narrowband Ha, SII and OIII filters.
• Ioptron CEM70 mount
• ZWO off-axis guider fitted with a ZWO ASI120 Mono guide camera.
• ZWO EAF focuser
• Windows MiniPC with 500gb SSD disc
• Pegasus Ultimate Power Hub
• Software: Sequence Generator Pro (SGP), PHD2, Pcloud file synch & transfer

All Equipment installed & tested, all software licensed & installed, training session provided for the group. No other fees. FLO provide on-site & UK telephone/Zoom support. See https://www.remoteobservatory.com/ for more information.
